Billing and plans
Glassbreak Team · Published 2026-07-19
Glassbreak prices by responder seat: you pay for the teammates who sign in and act — sending alerts, approving decryptions, running playbooks — while everyone who merely receives alerts (your emergency contacts) is free, on every plan, in any number.
Glassbreak is currently in early access; new teams are onboarded in waves.
The plans
- Free ($0, forever): 1 team with up to 5 members and 2 responder seats, 3 encrypted contacts, 10 encrypted secrets, 100 emergency messages a month, and encrypted chat and calls. No credit card required.
- Team ($15 per responder per month, or $150 a year): unlimited teams, contacts, and secrets; 2,500 messages a month with overage packs; playbooks and recovery plans; escalation rules and call trees; a 30-day audit log; custom roles.
- Business ($39 per responder per month, or $390 a year): everything in Team plus SSO (OIDC), a one-year audit log, an uptime SLA, 10,000 messages a month, and priority support.
- Enterprise (custom contract): everything in Business plus SCIM provisioning, BYOK / customer-managed keys, compliance reporting packs, committed message volume, volume seat pricing, a dedicated account manager, and a custom SLA and DPA. An EU data-residency zone is in rollout and available on request. Enterprise is sales-assisted — contact us.
Annual billing saves roughly 17% versus monthly. See the full comparison on the pricing page.
How seats are counted
Your billed seat count follows your active organization members — when someone accepts an invitation and joins, the subscription's seat count is synchronized automatically; you don't manage seat numbers by hand. Recipients (emergency contacts) never consume a seat, so a two-responder org can alert a workforce of hundreds.
Trials and upgrading
Team and Business are self-serve and start with a 30-day free trial — time enough to run a real drill cycle before paying. To upgrade:
- An org owner, admin, or billing admin opens the billing settings.
- Choose a plan and billing cycle; checkout is handled by Stripe. Card details never touch Glassbreak's servers.
- Plan entitlements (limits on contacts, secrets, messages, and gated features) apply within moments of the subscription activating.
Managing your subscription
The billing portal (Stripe's customer portal, opened from your billing settings) is where you update the payment method, download invoices, switch between monthly and annual billing, or cancel. If you downgrade, your data is never deleted: features above your new plan's limits become read-only or gated rather than destroyed, and SSO logins keep working even though SSO configuration becomes locked.
